When
the Guardians of the Galaxy took on a job to defeat the Abilisk, Baby
Groot began attacking some of the Orlonis. He thought they were looking
at him funny.
Groot: I am Groot.
Rocket Raccoon: They were not looking at you funny.
Trying
to assist Rocket and Yondu Udonta escape from The Ravagers prison cell,
Baby Groot was asked to go find Undonta’s Yaka Arrow to help them all
escape.
Misunderstanding Undonta’s instructions, Groot put the
Ravager symbol on his head thinking that he had been asked to wear it as
a hat. Grood then let Rocket know why he dosn’t like hats.
Groot: I am Groot.
Rocket Raccoon:
One minute you think someone has a weird shaped head, the next minute

Rocket

Everyone Wants To Know – What Does Groot Say in The
Guardians of the Galaxy Movies?! If you’ve been watching the GOTG in the
MCU movies we have looked at what those three words “I Am Groot” mean in each scene.
On
Xandar Rocket Raccoon and Groot compete with Gamora to capture Peter
Quill for the bounty on his head.After they are all captured, they
realise that by working together they could sell the orb for a lot more.
Rocket Raccoon : I’ll split the profit between the three of us.
Groot: I am Groot.
Rocket Raccoon : Four of us. Asleep for the danger, awake for the money, as per frickin’ usual!
Imprisoned in the Kyln, Groot, Gamora, Starlord and Rocket Raccot attempt an escape.
Watchtower Guard: Prisoner, drop the device immediately and retreat to your cell, or we will open fire.
Groot: I am Groot!
At the Collector’s Museum, the Collector is impressed of meeting a Groot.

they threaten to blow up the Milano if their friends are not released.
When Star-Lord and Gamora criticized the rescue team of nearly blowing
them up Groot calls them Ungreatful.

Rocket Raccoon: They are ungrateful!
When
the Milano became damaged after flying through the Dark Aster Groot
used his body to form a protective shield for the crew. As Groot
prepared to sacrifice himself to save his friends Rocket begged him not
to do it or he’ll die. He responds, we are Groot.
